I’m experiencing an issue where I receive the error message “Automatic trading is not authorized for this instrument” for all stocks and ETFs I try to trade. Since this occurs across all instruments, it doesn’t appear to be limited to specific markets or products. With the Demo account I am able to execute Automatic Trading strategies. I have this issue only in Live account. In IG settings I have enabled ProOrder trading. Can someone help me resolve this issue? Thank you.
The best way to proceed is to contact customer support so they can check if you have the option to operate in real time with automatic trading activated. You need the “Pro-AMF” rating.
Hello Iván, Thanks for your response. I have already checked with IG customer support. They said that automatic trading is already activated and everything looks from their end. They were however not sure if the problem could be in ProRealTime. That is why I wanted to check with experienced people who already have a working setup. Maybe I am not aware of some precondition that needs to be satisfied for authorizing instruments for Automatic trading. I hope someone is able to give some hints.
Btw, How can I verify if I have a “Pro-AMF” rating?

Check that you have enabled Live Account Automatic Trading as shown at yellow arrowhead on attached (yours will be CFD Account, not Spread Bet)
Sorry, PRO-AMF is only for accounts with Interactive Brokers.
If Grahal suggestion doesn’t solve the problem then open a console from the PRT platform.
