Automated exit of a position

I know that ProRealTime supports automated trading that buys and sells based on set criteria. If I am already in a position that I entered manually (not automatically), can I set up ProRealTime to automatically exit/sell my position if certain criteria are met? For example, if two moving averages cross over each other?

Yes by using the following:
1. Disable ‘Force Open’.
2. Set up an ‘Associated Trigger’ linked to an Alert = True for your Exit Conditions.
Try it on Demo Account first to be sure you have it all set up correctly.
You cant do what you want using an Automated System if that is what you really wanted?

Might sound daft, but if a System were coded to immediately open a trade upon starting the System and also to have your Exit Conditions coded in also.

The trade to ‘immediately open’ would be in same direction as your existing open trade.

At same time s starting the System, you close your manual trade … penalty / disadvantage of this method would be the cost of spread.
