    With all this volatility and larger volatile spreads 🙁 I’ve been working on some HFT systems.

    Today the following happened:

    All your trading systems were stopped because we detected abnormal activity on your account (more than 10000 orders placed, edited or cancelled in one day).

    Is 10000 a fixed limit or can it be increased?

    10.000 per day ? 😉  Omg

    i didn’t know there was a limit

    but it’s very interesting..  i know that HTF system is the graal system 😉

    do you have several bots on the same market ? same account ? how do you manage the conflicts btw bots ?

    I tend to only have one system per instrument per account to avoid any potential issues but PRT does allow you to sort trades by the specific system and then you can match them to the entry prices on IG. However, there can be execution issues if multiple orders are sent on the same instrument on the same account at the same account.

    The limit was reached mainly due to order changes to stops and limits not so many actual demo trades because that limit is listed on PRT (1,000 I think now that’s a lot of trading) and unfortunately I don’t have that much capital but if IG starts offering micro lots like they do on MT4 the maybe – just maybe :).

    Topic moved to ProOrder forum. This limitation is there for security reason, as the message said, it’s ‘abnormal’ to have soooo many orders placed the same day on the same account 😉

    Thanks Nicolas maybe some day: abnormal = abnormal gains

    I’ll have to work out another way to meet the criteria for IG rebates.
